Coldwater Mountain

Mountain Biking
Dogs Allowed

Totaling 4,083 acres sandwiched between the cities of Oxford and Anniston, Coldwater Mountain is protected under Alabama’s Forever Wild Land Trust and is managed by Alabama State Lands. While there are abundant hiking and wildlife watching opportunities available, the mountain has also become arguably the preeminent mountain biking destination in our state. Through a partnership between Alabama State Lands, the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA), the City of Anniston, and several local businesses, over 25 miles of novice to expert mountain biking trails have been built on Coldwater Mountain, with a total of 75 miles scheduled to be completed by 2017. The facility is an official Bronze-Level IMBA Ride Center.
