The main attraction at Lake Lurleen State Park is the 250-acre Lake Lurleen. The lake measures nearly one and a half miles in length, one-half mile wide, and at its deepest is 48 feet. The lake is stocked with largemouth bass, bream, catfish, and crappie so anglers are sure to reel in a nice-sized catch. Boat-launch areas and ample pier and bank fishing are available.
The park is conveniently located near many local attractions including: the cities of Northport and Tuscaloosa, The University of Alabama campus, Paul “Bear” Bryant Museum and The Alabama Museum of Natural History. Each October the Kentuck Art Festival in Northport attracts many artists and craftsmen from across the Southeast.
