Alabama Scenic River Trail

The Alabama Scenic River Trail is a group navigable waterways that span the state and encompass more than 6,500 miles of the designated river trail. The core section of the river trail extends 650 miles, beginning in Northeast Alabama near Weiss Lake and ending in Fort Morgan, Alabama’s gateway to the Gulf of Mexico. The Alabama Scenic River Trail boasts amenities that include river-front campsites, canoe, and kayak rental shops and trail angels, a network of volunteers who support paddlers on the water.
